Happy Friday: Let's Talk

It's Friday yet again and as always, in the land of Azeroth, there's a lot to talk about, see, and do.

I wanted to start up a thread not because I felt that we needed to have a heart to heart (though those are good to do aren't they?), but to just see how everyone's doing. So, to kick it off, (and I will try to answer what I can, join in, and maybe even get some of the other CMs to chime in) I wanted to just set up a series of questions for people to answer or talk about in this thread. Some ground rules though first:

• If there's something you want to vent about, please do, just keep it constructive.


• If you don't like something someone else says, please refrain from harassing or defamatory language. All opinions (so long as they are constructive) are just that, opinions and should not be viewed or used as personal attacks.


• If you post, post something more than a single word or requote from someone else. I know it's tempting, but I'm betting you have something to say for yourself too. (Yes, we're all individuals.)


• It's OK to have fun in this thread. Really it is. This is a game community, and hopefully we're all having some, right?


• Please please please, avoid profanity and don't avoid the profanity filter. I'd prefer not to delete any posts or have to edit. We really do want to hear what you have to say.

Do you have WoW related plans for the weekend?

Is there something about 4.3 you're most excited about?

What are your current WoW goals? (leveling a new character, getting gear, PvP)

What is it in WoW that still excites you or still gives you that feeling of being "home"?

What is your favorite quote (game related or not)?


Lastly, I know this has been coming up a lot, but I wanted to wish all those that may be affected by the hurricane well. Please stay safe and we'll all still be here if you need to be away a bit.

Not really. When Blizzard announced that 4.3 was the LAST content patch for Cataclysm, I was bummed because it felt waaaay too soon.

What if I promised there are many more great days for WoW ahead yet? :D

Hi Neth. I appreciate the Blues coming down to mingle with us so often now.

I'd like to see some Blue feedback on future plans for the Alliance. Those of us interested in the lore are chafed by the inaction and general incompetence of our leaders, and would like to see someone shake things up again for us.

Yes, there are plans. There are always plans. But, don't worry. I think you're going to see some things happen "in the future" for the Alliance and their leadership. We are trying to do what we can to make sure that it will all be as accessible as possible too (storyline wise.)

The new dungeons and the Deathwing raid! Being a lore junkie I'm dying to know what the three new dungeons are and who we shall see as bosses in the raid and dungeons. Any chance at giving us some hints Neth? ;)

Any chance of giving hints? No. ;P I think we already gave some at gamescom. We are planning to give you more than just hints, but it will be just a little bit longer. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait. (We try to plan these things out as much as possible. )

We had a meeting. :) I'm just now going through and trying to read through responses. We won't be able to respond to everything, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on discussions and questions to see if there are things we can answer (at the least) later.

Where's Bornakk? He's still a part of the team, he just works on other things for us. (He has amazing "hovering" skills when tasks are coming due or are due... He is also immune to my diversionary tactics.)

What am I going to do with Transmogrification? I haven't decided yet, I'm hoping I see some "sets" that the community creates that I could pull off.

With Blizzard saying they are going to start accelerating the expansions...has there been thought to reducing the pricing structure?

When it comes to these types of decisions, it's not something we on the community team could allude to or answer for you. That's something that would need to come from other teams and involves business decisions that are not in my purview. The only thing I can tell you is that we take feedback to the teams that do make these decisions, and that we're always going to do our best to make sure that the game and fees are worth it on many levels.

dude haven't seen you in like forever. I thought you quit or something..

Destroying gnomes takes time and to my surprise, is frowned upon by some, so I do it in secret. Otherwise both Zarhym and Nethaera will jump at the chance to yell at me.

You haven't been 'round these parts much have you? This isn't a first, and no, it doesn't bother me, nor do I actually take it seriously. ;) All in good fun as long as the other half doesn't take offense. ;p
