Enough is Enough; Hyjal Ganking Penalties

blizz -> wysłany:
Ok, I am on a PvP server. I enjoy PvP, I enjoy world PvP, I like being able to compete for resources in the world at large. Right, now that's out the way, let's get to the point of this post.

I remember something new happening in Cata that had me gnashing my teeth on my very, very horde-heavy realm: a very large number of quests suddenly had everyone bottlenecked into the same areas. I did not find this with Wrath, but it annoyed the hell out of me in Cata, because on my server it means every alliance is suddenly finding themselves standing in front of 16 horde (no exaggeration) looking at them funny.

Sixteen to one. Yep. Try taking two steps. After I got ganked near the end of the water phase of thrall's quest for the third time (I'd managed to find a side of the crater where nobody was killing, lucky me), I swapped toon and raged at the immature horde who had done it. I literally needed one more kill. And I get a 'its a pvp server, l2p noob', and 'that's what you get for being alliance.' Well that's easy for HIM to say, since he's playing the 16:1 outnumbering side.

THE POINT isn't that PvP happened here. I have nothing against some strategic world PvP, and can even stomach ganking when it happens. THE POINT is that the new quest hubs/design are TERRIBLE for those of us on an underpopulated faction on a PvP server. This 'fill up the bar with things you kill' is great until you get ganked for the fourth time near the end. They have turned every quest into an escort quest, and horde are just waiting to kill you at the end EVERY TIME. If we want to do the quests, we have literally no hope in hell of surviving the other faction. Even if by some miracle we managed to get 10 people together to do the quest, horde would just get 30+ and steamroll us.

Whatever happened to separation, to give us PvPers a chance to do some actual PvE quest content? I know exactly what people will reply in this thread (l2p, haha, ur bad, etc, I've been around long enough to know how this works), but I just want to get my perspective out there. This new design philosophy of near total shared quest givers/zones/etc, started in Cata, and is getting worse. I thought it was bad before, but at least there were guards to (sort of) stop the horde ganking you in quest hubs. Now its free for all bullsh** and I don't care what you say, I don't care if you think I'm bad, I cannot take on 16 horde at once.

EDIT: By ganking 'penalties' what I meant was that when you are ganked on these new quests (thrall, some hyjal) you are reset to the start of the quest. Ganking was bad but you gould get through it - but the new quest design means that if you cannot live to the end of the quest (i.e. Thaurissan Alliance 90% of the time), then you cannot do the quest. Period. That penalty for getting ganked is just another spit in the face to an already unfortunate situation.
