All you need to do is say so.

Here's a question. How much outrage would there be if Blizzard went back on this "Pay for RID parties" thing, said "Nevermind, we'll give you RealID+ in your subscription, but everyone has to pay an extra $1 a month to subscribe"? I mean, what this whole thing implies is that our $15 a month just isn't cutting it anymore, as far as developing and fleshing out the game is concerned.

Let me be frank and say "I can see where you're coming from" in response to that hypothetical. We've been playing for a LONG time and sub rates have not gone up. I don't know what Blizzard spends $150 million+ a month on, but I'm not stupid enough to imply that there's no cost to run and develop WoW. I'm sure there's a pretty profit in it, but keeping profit is obviously important. So, charge everyone an extra dollar per month to continue to improve our experience.

Would that be as offensive as specifically singling out an in-game access feature and putting it behind a monetized gate? I don't think it would. I think the argument could be made that WoW IS worth $16 a month if they'll continue to develop and enhance our WoW experience in a realistic manner that would be expected of a subscription-based MMORPG developer.
