The only time i dare to even peek at trade is when i need to find someone for my weekly points and half the time i tell myself is it even worth it? Do i really want to deal with these jerks for a couple conquest points?
/sigh
The quality of any realm's trade chat is directly affected by how active its community is in reporting offenders. Our Game Masters simply can't be everywhere all the time - there are too many realms and chat channels for them to be monitored 24/7. I've done the math on these forums numerous times before - suffice it to say it's simply not practical to do so, especially when our Game Masters handle much, much more than just chat violations. However, our staff can and will take appropriate action on all petitions submitted about harassment.
If you see someone "stinking up trade," report them appropriately to our Game Masters. They'll work their way up the penalty volcano towards an account suspension or permanent closure, and that will be one less non-constructive person in trade. Even better, perhaps they'll learn from their actions the first time they are actioned and subsequent petitions from you or other members of your community won't be necessary. That's the ideal situation, and part of why we do not have a habit of permanently banning people off the bat. For more information on how our account penalty systems work and on what kind of chat qualifies for harassment, I've included the appropriate articles below. Please do take a look through them if you have some time. >^.^< Account Penalties http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20221 Harassment Policy http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20226 |
