The only god damn solution u have is to go "here buy our lovely authenticator its shiny and protects you, but ohhh it costs money, and guess what it still isnt save, but ohhh it gives us more money nom nom nom"

Seriously get a bloody grip solve the problem, either take a leaf out eve onlines solution and copy there damn idea ( you know somein your good at copying IDEAS from other games) or come up with your own damn solution that doesnt cost yer consumer more moeny than he/she is awlready paying.

Hello there Orcrist.

I’m going to have to lock this post because it contains some personal attacks and borderline offensive language here and there. However, before I do, I thought I would offer you a brief answer.

Unfortunately, as other posters have said, there is very little any company can do about emails being sent about them. Spam is spam is spam and emails are simply pieces of information sent from one computer to another. There is no way we can monitor/moderate/censor that type of interaction on such a massive scale. The incident itself is between the receiver and the sender, and can only be dealt with by those 2 parties, no 3rd party can make any sort of impact, no matter who they are.

What we do do, however, is educate players as best we possibly can (if they are willing to learn of course). We try to warn them about these types of mails, how to identify them and how to avoid getting more (with regards to our own products at least – unfortunately spam will always exist in one form or another).

We have support articles, tweets, community blogs and forum threads all designed to help our customers out in this regard. I would advise you start here as this guide has been extremely helpful, and allowed many Blizzard gamers to reduce the amount of World of Warcraft related spam that they receive, and quickly identify it when they do:

Fake or ‘Phishing’ E-mails from Blizzard
