You constantly see Blizzard say they want feedback, they desire feedback from players on the game and on what they (devs) have done or intend to do.
Now, this all good and well, and, also expected from a company who manages an on-line game such as this one. But the thing is, unless you're in total agreement with what they've done, they'll delete or close your thread each and every time. On top of this, you'll be suspended or banned from the forums because, according to them, you've been "trolling."
Now, I'm aware some posts or threads are deleted for inappropiate language or in fact, actually trolling. But not everyone does this. Yet, most players have had or will have their posts deleted just because their views happen to be different than Blizzard, regardless of what they write in.
So. is this feedback? Is this the only feedback Blizzard craves for, just from those who think they can do no wrong or should all opinions be valued the same way and be given the same air time and considerations?
That's incredibly untrue. There are scores of threads out there which raise concerns about various aspects of gameplay and are perfectly fine for these forums. We read them. Often times we respond to them. If a thread has been moderated, there's a reason for it. And that reason is never simply because we disagree with the feedback. As an example. This thread has been locked. If you want to know why, it's spelled out plainly in the forum posting guidelines in the very first sticky of this forum. It even provides the proper avenue for providing feedback regarding forum moderation ([email protected]). |
