how do I search forums?

I don't remember ever being able to search forums.

I have set many of the security settings in Google Chrome.

Currently I can type in searches, but, according to the auto complete, it is only searching the armory for items.

What am I missing? what security settings inhibit use of the search capability?

Would like sticky post explaining the questions on the previous line. Searching through something the size of library of congress page by page STINKS!
