I have seen the issue of multi-boxing discussed, but not in the context of whether it was considered legal or a violation or exploit, so I thought I would put this up to see if anyone has spoken to a GM or seen a blue post on this issue at any point.
To clarify, I am referring to instances where a single individual, apparently using multiple accounts and some sort of out-of-game addon to control all the accounts at once, logs in and controls multiple characters at once (usually in groups of 5, but I have heard reports of 10 or even 20 toons in battlegrounds).
Now, I haven't scoured the ToU, but it seems to me that this would constitute a violation of the rules. Or, perhaps, it should. Wouldn't having 5 times the firepower controlled from a single keystroke grant the player an unfair advantage?
Community thoughts on why this should or should not be allowed are welcome. Blue posts on the official position on this would be greatly appreciated.
