Tier 11 stat similarity

blizz -> wysłany:
I was checking out the stats on some Tier 11 Warlock gear and happened to notice that they were the same as mages. The only noticeable differences seem to be the set bonuses, the artwork (of course) and for some odd reason the vendor price!

After a bit more checking, there seems to be a lot of stat similarity between the Tier 11 gear from different classes. For example all ilvl 372 plate chests that give crit, all give 257 crit irrespective of class. Same with haste. But not all those stats are as valuable to one class as they are to another, and some classes might want more haste or more crit. What's going on? :s
blizz -> wysłany:
Not all the armor comes out of the same "printing press" -- we actually try and keep an element of randomness in the stats. This might mean that at times one piece of gear is particularly more interesting for you because it has more of a stat that you're wanting to build up. That randomness also allows for, at times, some gear that has a lot of similarity but also sometimes stats that overlap.

But even though we do aim to keep the stats varied, for class-specific items we don't really want them to vary all that considerably as we're not really keen on the idea that those items must have only the ideal mix and distribution of stats for that class or spec. We're wanting to avoid encouraging the idea that it's all about maximising one particular stat, and to get back to the idea that a combination of multiple stats is best to make you more effective in your role.

Yes there's still quite a powerful arsenal of customisation options available, with reforging, gems, enchants..etc
