Any way to recover deleted charachters?

Hello readers,
I hope I didn't choose the wrong section to submit my question.... Anyway.

A few weeks before Cataclysm release I decided to delete a few alts I had because I wanted to experience the new content that the expansion was bringing (and I was reaching charachter limit on my realm).
What I'd like to know is if there is any way to restore at least a couple of thsoe charachters? One of them was even level 80 (I know, I'm crazy...).

So, anyone know if it would be possible or not?

Make a GM ticket in game and include as much information as you can.

Character name, race, level, server they were on etc.

I have done it before with low level alts that I forgot I had stuff on (heirlooms mainly). The GMs are normally pretty good but with it being patch day they may be a little busy so just have patience.
