I canceled my account today, and per the form's instructions, I am posting my concerns here.
For some reason, our guid name was flagged as inapropriate and was changed without our consent. We have had this guild together for over four years and are very proud of our community. Changing it changes our entire identity. We have a reputation on Nazgrel as being one of the best, most helpful guilds on the server. There is nothing offensive about our guild name. Please change it back ASAP.
There is no need to provide an explanation, especially given doing so violates our Forum Code of Conduct. Thanks. - Nevalistis
Asking us to change our name because someone is apparently offended (most likely from a disgruntled former guild member) just doesn't stack up. It is hypocrisy to flag our guild as inappropriate with the above terms running rampant throughout World of Warcraft.
Every single member of our guild is furious about this. Perhaps Blizzard doesn't care
about their customers, but forcing this upon us is poor customer service. There are other places we can spend our $15 a month. Please reconsider this forced name change. Do the right thing, Blizzard.
Thank you.
Contesting a name change should be done through the proper channels at [email protected]. Please note that in the case of a Guild name being changed, on the Guild Leader is able to contest the action.
For point of reference: Naming Policy http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20421 Forum Code of Conduct http://forums.battle.net/forum-coc.html?sid=3000 The forums are not the proper place to contest this, and while I understand your frustration and appreciate the feedback, this is a matter to be discussed with Account Admin, and no other. The discussion of account actions is considered a violation of the Forum Code of Conduct, and that is why this thread has been locked. Best wishes to you, Andivar, in all that you pursue. |
