Hi there.
I often browse over MMO-Champion's blue tracker, and more often than not, it contains a whole lot of angry people shouting and screaming because they aren't getting their way.
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1549672328 for example.
Surely there is a far nicer way of getting your point to the support team. I don't get why people can't just politely log a problem, and leave it at that. The above example just seems to degrade into an assault on the Blues work ethic, or their commitment to the community.
Thing is the Blues always try to be nice whenever they talk to us, why can't we afford them the same respect. Its really just common decency. They have a job to do, and just because you pay a subscription doesn't give anyone the right to treat them like that.
TL;DR -> Less angryness, more love for Blues
Your general intent is noble and appreciated. The thread you've linked to is actually extremely tame in comparison to some we've seen! The thing is though, since we play the game just like our players do, we are just as passionate about it as they are. So more often than not we deeply empathise with the frustrations some people can express here sometimes.
We're actually all for people disagreeing with us or pointing out issues they feel are important -- we've got pretty tough skin and we can take it. It's important that people are able to express their views, and often the only thing we tend not to like is needless abuse of other players or ourselves, or indeed direct breaches of the forum guidelines. Other than that, there's a pretty large range of feedback that we're quite happy to let people give without us taking any action or making any opposing comments. We don't require your love, nor indeed set out to gain it; what we really want most of all is for you to be able to enjoy the game and know that we're always doing the best we're able to, to support you in doing that. |

Oh, we're strong advocates of constructive posting and we do prefer that whenever possible. However we also know that behind all these avatars are real people, and real people can't always express themselves in the most constructive way when they're frustrated or affected by strong emotions.
