...opening tickets like crazy against abusive players. This is mostly as a direct result of terrible experiences with the random dungeon finder. More often than not, other players are openly hostile and abusive from the offset, regardless of performance. Here's a small list of things I report:
Well the list can go on and on but I think you get the idea. There have been many similar posts lately from other players with the same terrible, game-destroying experiences and Blues have said (correctly) that unless we report them, nothing can change.
So I've been reporting the worst offenders and I always get the same generic response back from the GMs saying they'll look into it.
To be honest ... I want to know exactly what action was taken against each player I report, and ideally I want to know if they have been investigated and seen to be equally hostile to other players or if I'm just lucky.
And finally, I know people will suggest running with the guild, and I do, but that's not the point. The point is that there are many people who say and do horrible things to other players because there is no obvious punishment system. I have been using the 'reporting' system put in place and advertised by Blues but I have no idea if my actions are actually having any effect, or whether these players will continue to harass others in the same way.
