After a week back in the game from a long stint away, and doing a few randoms, I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences. Mainly, I wanted to encourage those that feel all bad players are incapable of being useful.
I believe I've done most of the Cata normals now, with the exception of a few. Overall its been an enjoyable time, only one snide comment that I can remember, everyone else as been very supportive. Once zoned in, I'd let the group know I've yet to be in there, and would appreciate an explanation of mechanics if necessary. Not one person was condescending, no one complained and I was never kicked. That was quite the feat on their end, as they were unfortunate enough to get me in their group.
I would occasionally pull aggro by accident, it took me a few runs to figure out what upwind of Altairus meant, and I would faithfully forget to jump around in Stonecore when necessary (tbh, I still don't know exactly when I'm supposed to). But I'm trying! Really, I am. Spend ten seconds telling me how to improve and I'd be thrilled. On the plus side, I haven't wiped a group, I haven't forgotten to get in Asaad's triangle of terror and I always dropped a table for my pals.
Again, a gentle reminder; not all of us in the bad class are full of fail, just half full of it. We might stand in the fire for a little longer than we should or forget to pop mirror image here and there, but we're trying! Most of us just need some pointers and a little patience.
Try being kind to those of us not as good as others, you might be surprised what we can do!
(Of course, if said bad is just being stubborn, then everything I just said is nullified, unfortunately.)
