So our guild is going to get Chug-a-lug very soon, and I'm an alchemist, so I should be happy, but I'm not. Despite farming quite a bit and making more flasks than are necessary for our 10 man raids, I and our other 2 alchies have only been able to make 169 flasks (as of this minute).
10 thousand. That's right, 10 THOUSAND for a 10 man and 25 THOUSAND for a 25man cauldron. The easy math will tell you that it means you must raid 1000 times with full flasks made by guild alchemists in order to get each achievment.
Using Doomhammer's exchange rate and the cheapest flask (Flowing water):
15g x 6 = 90g in Volatile Life
6g x 12 = 72g in Stormvine
130g for 12 Heartblossom
17c for Crystal Vial
Altogether: 292g 17c for a single flask off the AH. Neglecting the copper, that's almost 3 million gold for the 10man and 7.3 million for the 25 man cauldron.
According to WoWhead, if you raid 3 times a week and everyone flasks for a 25man, it will take you 100 weeks (roughly 2 years) to get this achievement.
I think by now I've made my point THESE NUMBERS ARE RIDICULOUS. Some details about issues being looked at have been revealed, but I have not seen anything about these achievements. Are they being looked at?
Yes. We actually made several adjustments related to guild flasks and cauldrons today via hotfixes. You can read more about them here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1981092#blog :) |
