Developers, and Conflict of Interest?

blizz -> wysłany:
As we are all players, and we all know that when we are playing we all suffer from "he beat me, make him suck" from time to time. With all of the changes and constant inability for balance to ever be reached, do you think the developers actually playing the game is a good thing?

The game went from Rock, Paper, Scissors... to 1v1 doesn't matter, to only rated pvp matters.

In pve it went from bring the player bring the class, to content tailored to making sure that certain classes are always brought along, to give everyone everything but make sure you have ever thing always accounted for.

With anyone on the development team playing any class, those developers are bound to make changes, on some level, to improve on their own favorite class, so doesn't the developers playing the game automatically mean conflict of interest?

Ok, the normal complaint is that the developers obviously don't play [class].

Now it's bad for the developers to play [class]?

blizz -> wysłany:
Contrary to what you may believe, it is possible for developers to suspend personal desires for the benefit of the game as a whole. At the same time, it's important to bring personal experiences to bear too in order to see if their experiences are matching up to the experiences of others or not.

I'm sure we'll always see people claim conflicts of interest or the potential for there to be one, but those are often firmly entrenched in their own personal interests and reflective of them.

In the end, it's extremely important that we all (yes, the community team included) play so that we can better communicate with you, bring to light potential bugs and issues and more based on "normal" play experiences.
