Loremaster before and after

blizz -> wysłany:
So...My achievement book still says I have Loremaster, and in the Loremaster achievement it has all the zones checked off, but in the actual achievement book it says I haven't done any of the zones.

I realize that perhaps the Devs want us to have to do all the new quests to get the individual achievements now, but that seems sort of weak. I was really looking forward to doing all the redesigned zones on a level appropriate character. To suddenly feel like now I have to run through all these lowbie zones on my main and do 100's of quests is...meh.

It also feels a little like a penalty for doing Loremaster before...when if we just waited it would have been easier to complete and we'd have gotten all the extra achievement points to boot.

If we bascially do Loremaster...AGAIN...is there anything new to gain? Or any plans for something? I guess it just feels like you finish this huge chore and now you have to do it again. It's like finishing cleaning your house only to have a whole 20 people run through it with mud on their shoes.

I don't suppose there are any plans to give us credit for the zones if we've already done Loremaster? Or that this is just a bug? Haha...wishful thinking I guess....

Just in case you never got a chance to read our blog about the changes to quests and Loremaster, I've linked it for you below.

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/1191652

If you have Loremaster already, you can choose to go back through and gain the Achievements for doing these again. If you have the title you can choose NOT to go back through and gain the Achievements for doing them again as well. It's completely in your hands. The rest as far as where credit was given or not given is also all in that blog post.

There are so many great new quests available to the community, that we think many people will just want to go back through and experience them for themselves. And if you're not that type, that's OK too. But we don't plan to credit you automatically for having done the old world quests beyond what you may have earned already.
blizz -> wysłany:

Here's the predicament that I'm in: I was in a mad rush to complete the old world Loremaster achievements. I finished EK but not Kalimdor. I had about 450 quests completed and they were all stripped. I see the reasoning behind this up to a point.

So I went back to the Draenai starter area to redo the quests I no longer have credit for, but I can't do them. There are no new quests in that area and as I have completed them once, then I am no longer able take them again. Yet I have no credit for them. I wouldn't have minded to do them AGAIN, but can't.

So as of right now I CAN'T complete the Azuremyst Isle (or whatever) achievement as I did too many before and there may not be enough left over for me to be able to reach the achievement.

This is my only concern. Though it was tough to see 450+ quests get reduced to less than 50.

I'll report this on my end, but I would suggest posting about this on the bug forums as well if you haven't already. We definitely can take a look into this to see how this could be corrected.

*edit- Inglenook, do you know about how many quests it was you completed? It could be helpful for us to know what that number was. We may just have the amount of quests necessary a bit too high for non-draenei, but we're looking into it.

Just our of curiosity, why is there no achievement for doing quests in Elwyen Forest?

We don't have levels 1-10 as a part of the requirement for the Loremaster Achievement.
blizz -> wysłany:
In some cases, older quests from pre-Cataclysm content that carried over to the Shattering were reset so that people going back to experience the new content in a zone wouldn't have any unusual breaks in continuity.

No, this is MOST, not some. About 95%+ by the looks of things. Simple question, is this a bug, or is this intentional?

It is not a bug. As I stated in the text you quoted, we needed to make sure that the continuity between quest lines was kept.
