PTR Realm Maintenance - 10/11/12

We're currently bringing the 5.1.0 PTR up. I'll be updating this thread with time estimates and updates as I receive them.

Initial time estimate is 5-7 hours from this posting.

As always I keep this thread open and relaxed, please keep the discussion respectful and reasonably game-related.

3-5 hours.

The build isn't hosted yet, that comes a long a little longer in our process.

When it's available you'll have to redownload, the previous PTR and Betas cannot be patched.

Going to push back the time a bit, probably going to be around 5 hours from now. First push of a patch cycle usually takes a bit longer.

No 90 templates as of right now.

We didn't purge the PTR realms, characters you made there should still be there.

I'd say 1-2 hours from now.

Also big caveat, I'm going to make a sticky about this in bug reports, Battle Pets do not work in this build. There's a crash when you finish a battle, so if that's what you're excited for in the PTR you'll have to hang tight.

Yeah you should be able to copy your live characters.

Should be up shortly, less than 30 minutes.

Templates aren't my call but I will note that there's a lot of desire for them.

Yes, they are.

So I was incorrect in my estimate and I apologize. We've hit a minor snag and we're going to halt this push for the evening. It should be up early tomorrow morning.

Yes, if you attempt to download the PTR now you should be getting the 5.1 build.

Closer to 10am PST.

We're looking into the issues with accounts not being flagged for MOP.

That's why they're currently down. We're fixing some flagging issues.

I don't have a good ETA for when they'll be back up but we are actively working on this.

Heh, we're working on it. Everyone should be flagged now, making some more stability changes. Should be up sooner than later.

They're coming up now, please make sure that you've got MOP access (monks, pandaria, etc).
