US/EU Wow Accounts

Continuation of Thread:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2228174118

I'm not sure you understood what I was trying to tell you. They are the same game, except two completely different pieces of software, as far as Blizzard is concerned. EU accounts cannot be managed via the US battle.net page and vice versa. EU accounts cannot get support by calling the US number and vice versa. EU accounts cannot post in the US forums for help and vice versa.

The servers for both versions of the client are totally distinct. You cannot sign into both of them from the same battle.net account. There is no cross-server connectivity between US and EU servers. So it's not as simple as a transferring realms or "re-building" characters. The two clients have zero connection.

I'm not bumping the thread by posting within minutes of you. I'm trying to provide a semi-helpful response. If you want to have a constructive discussion about this topic, the proper place would be in General.

Edited for edit: Please read what the OP wrote. He wanted to be able to play with his friends from America while living in Europe but he was concerned about getting the US client in Europe. Origionally Posted by Sliceyface

This is completely false. I have both my U.S. and Euro WoW account under the same battle.net account. I can view both accounts, by logging into us.battle.net. If a screenshot is necessary, I will take one.

I have spoken to Blizz support about battlenet accounts. Each individual Battlnet account is accessible through both Eu.battle.net and US.battle.net.

Also, the OP very clearly said he lives in Europe but plays on American servers. No where did he indicate he is concerned about attaining a US version of the game in Europe.

As the others have said, the EU version of World of Warcraft is entirely separate from the US version. There is no connection between the two, and the realms are physically located in different sections of the world. Due to this limitation, we are unable to permit transfers between the two regions (or any other separated region) at this time.
